a look behind the camera

I once heard someone describe me as being "ubiquitous in the cycling world." To me, this was a huge compliment. Cycling IS my world. And I feel incredibly fortunate to have a life making images of the people with whom I prefer to spend my time.

After earning an undergraduate degree in K-12 Music Education and a graduate degree in Music Performance on the tuba, I decided to go all in on bicycle racing. For five years, I raced the USA Cycling P.R.T, USA Crits, in Belgium and Mexico, and more. It was during the years traveling and racing full time that I got my first camera (Thanks, Mom!). I quickly learned that holding a camera changed the way I perceived the world, so when I started to see beauty everywhere, I knew I needed to make photography a bigger part of my life. With 18 years of bicycle racing experience, it was only a matter of time until my passions collided.

Nowadays, when I'm not out shooting, I'm out riding. And when I'm not doing either of those things, I'm probably reading a book, spinning vinyl, listening to a podcast, dreaming up a new adventure, or enjoying a beverage with friends.

If you've made it this far, thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little about me. Let's connect so that I can learn a little about you too!

Follow me...I have no idea where I'm going.
